Jacob Gomolka joined the Bucknell Athletic department in October 2017 as the coordinator of game operations. He came to Bucknell after completing an internship with the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League, where he worked in the video production and game entertainment sector of the business operations side of the team. While in Kansas City, Gomolka was tasked with coordinating and securing all entertainment guests for the Chiefs, including National Anthem singers, halftime performers, military personnel, community partners, and more.
Gomolka is a native of Hillsborough, New Jersey, and is a 2016 graduate of Syracuse University, having earned a bachelor of science degree in sport management with a concentration in marketing. While at Syracuse, he worked closely with the operations team at the Carrier Dome, the Orange’s multipurpose domed stadium, the largest on a college campus in the country. Gomolka has also held previous positions with several minor league baseball teams as well as a professional catering and hospitality company.
In his current role with Bucknell, Gomolka is in charge of coordinating all of the entertainment and promotional logistics for many of the Bison’s 27 varsity sports programs. He also works with the rest of the operations team to oversee the successful execution of all athletic games and events on the Bucknell campus.
