LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell head coach John McBride announced Thursday that four student-athletes will join the Bucknell women’s water polo team for the 2019 season.

The incoming freshmen hail from four different states. Two played for the same club program while one is the younger sister of Bison standout Ally Furano.

In 2018, Bucknell posted a 16-18 (3-5 CWPA) record and was ranked No. 22 in the final CWPA poll. The Bison finished fifth at the CWPA Championship, toppling their final three opponents by a combined margin of 35-13. They lose starting netminder Manuela Herrera and two of their top-five point producers in Colleen Barron and All-CWPA Second Team pick Marta Considine to graduation.


Rachel Craig
Houston, Texas, Clear Brook High School

Before Bucknell: Four-year letterwinner in water polo and swimming & diving at Clear Brook High School … three-year team captain and All-State First Team selection … helped Clear Brook qualify for three Texas State Water Polo Championships … named MVP of the 2017 South Region Championship (Houston area) … competed for Rose Bowl Water Polo during the summer.
