LEWISBURG, Pa. – Ten members of the Bucknell women's water polo team earned All-Academic Awards from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).
In addition, the Bison were recognized with an ACWPC All-Academic Team Award for achieving a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00. During the spring semester, they posted a cumulative GPA of 3.24.
Headlining Bucknell's individual honorees was Marta Considine, the program's 2018 Honorable Mention All-American. Considine was one of seven Bison recognized as Superior, a group that included her fellow seniors Colleen Barron and Manuela Herrera.
Hayley Pogue, a sophomore Markets, Innovation & Design major, was the lone Bison to be honored as Outstanding; it was the second year in a row the goalkeeper received this prestigious distinction.
Nominations were made by head coaches with student-athletes recognized on three levels based on their GPA: Outstanding (3.71 to 4.0), Superior (3.41 to 3.70) and Excellent (3.20 to 3.40). The following are the Bucknell women's water polo team's 2018 ACWPC All-Academic Team members:
