LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell volleyball played its final home match of the season on Friday night, falling to Loyola (Md.) 3-1 in a Patriot League contest at Davis Gym. The Greyhounds ended a five-match losing streak to the Bison with scores of 25-15, 22-25, 25-19, 25-23.
Jane Lukas came off the bench to lead Loyola with 10 kills and a .529 hitting percentage. Ann Ernst was less efficient, but led all players with 20 kills. The Greyhounds improved to 6-17 overall and 3-9 in the Patriot League.
Bucknell’s Luz Nagle tallied a career-high 39 assists while adding eight digs and two block assists. The Bison had three players with double-digit kills, led by freshman Sophie Bullard with 14. Senior Jordan Walker, playing in the final home match of her career, had 13 kills, and freshman Bridgette Holland added 10.
Also playing in her final home match, senior Rebecca Forbes registered eight digs. She has 17 digs over the past two matches.
Bucknell has two league matches remaining on the schedule. The Bison will travel to play Holy Cross on Friday and will play at Army West Point on Saturday.
