C.J. Baker

CJ Baker joins head coach Scott Heather's staff in 2017-18 as an assistant coach. Baker joins the Bison after serving as head coach of the Hornell Dodgers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League.

Baker led the Dodgers to the NYCBL championship in 2017, earning Manager of the Year recognition. Under Baker's guidance, the Dodgers ranked as high as No. 11 in the country for collegiate summer ball teams. The squad hit 42 home runs, while recording a league-record 200 stolen bases.

Baker was an assistant coach at Lock Haven in 2016, helping out with catching and hitting while serving as the third base coach on game days. The Bald Eagles received top-25 votes and ranked as high as third in the regional polls. During Baker's tenure, Lock Haven set the school record for wins (32), while earning its first playoff win since 1988.

Baker also assisted in day-to-day baseball operations including practice plans, fundraising and various office work.

Prior to arriving to Lock Haven, Baker was a graduate assistant at Seattle University, assisting in the everyday baseball operations while running individual infield and outfield drills outside of pratice. Baker also managed and operated the team's social media platforms.

Baker graduated from Simpson University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in communications/psychology. He earned a master's degree in education at the University of Washington in 2016.
