LEWISBURG, Pa. -- "Wait a minute, are those Bucknell basketball players coming up my driveway?" Such was a typical surprised and excited reaction from many Bison season-ticket holders this week.

As a way to say "thank you" to many of Bucknell's loyal basketball fans, members of the Bison men's and women's teams headed out into Lewisburg and hand-delivered season-ticket orders. With the start of the season now three weeks away, the student-athletes from both teams had a chance to meet many of the folks who will soon be cheering them on. They posed for photos and answered a few questions about how the teams are shaping up in preseason practice.

For those interested in purchasing season tickets to see Bucknell's defending Patriot League champion men's and women's teams, it is not too late. Season tickets are currently on sale, and single-game tickets for the general public will go on sale Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone at 570-577-1000, or in person at the Campus Box Office at the Weis Center or Elaine Langone Center. The Bison men's basketball and women's basketball schedules have been released, with the season officially getting underway for both teams on Nov. 10.

While home game tickets go on sale on Oct. 27, the Campus Box Office currently has a limited supply of tickets on sale online for the following men's basketball away games: Nov. 10 at Monmouth, Nov. 15 at North Carolina, Nov. 18 at Maryland. Visit Bucknell.edu/boxoffice and use the "Bucknell Athletics Away Games" tab to purchase tickets. Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and mailed to customers in advance of the game.
