ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Maggie Wyngowski and Julianna Foss each broke her own school record to capture a medal on the third day of the Patriot League Championships at Navy's Lejeune Hall.

The Bison, who placed 11 swimmers in the finals of Friday's 12 events, continued their climb up the team standings. They will enter the final day of the Patriot League championship meet in fourth place with 260 points, five more than Boston University.

Wyngowski earned a silver medal in the 400 IM, clocking in at 4:17.80. During the preliminaries, the freshman touched the wall in 4:19.21 to advance to the 'A' finals. Her finals time was a 1:41 improvement from her preliminaries mark and a 2:04 improvement from her school record entering the day.

Foss raced to a third-place finish in the 100 butterfly, improving her school record by .21 with a time of 54.48. This is the senior's third Patriot League medal in the 100 butterfly; she previously captured a silver medal at the 2017 Patriot League Championships and a bronze at the 2015 edition.

In addition, the 200 freestyle relay team of Caroline Edelman, Emily Gorham, Foss and Katherine O'Shea topped Bucknell's top time by .09 of a second, touching the wall in 1:33.36. The quartet ultimately placed fifth.

Leah Bloodgood placed fourth in the 100 breaststroke, posting a time of 1:03.05 that ranks second in school history. Bloodgood, who previously ranked fourth, clocked the same time in the preliminaries and was .03 of a second shy of breaking Diana Hanson's school record.

Lindsay Smalec, who took sixth in the 100 butterfly, improved her time to 54.84. Smalec entered the day with Bucknell's second-fastest time in this event (55.37) and also topped that mark in the preliminaries (55.26).

Caroline Edelman and Emma Hadley also improved their top-10 times in the 100 butterfly. During the preliminaries, Edelman took third (55.78) while Hadley captured fourth (55.88). Edelman and Hadley went on to place 11th and 14th respectively in the finals with slower times.

Hadley also qualified for the 'A' finals in the 100 backstroke, where she tied for fourth with a time of 55.05. Her time would have would have slotted her fourth in school history if she wasn't already second (54.44).

Abigail Rosenberg represented Bucknell in the 'A' finals of the 200 freestyle, where she took seventh with a time of 1:49.70. Rosenberg previously broke her own school record in this event by swimming the lead-off leg of Wednesday's 800 freestyle relay in 1:48.29.

Julie Byrne (10th, 100 backstroke), Mary Weinstein (12th, 100 breaststroke), Katherine O'Shea (15th, 200 freestyle) and Libby O'Hare (16th, 100 breaststroke) also scored for the Bison.

Through 27 events, Navy (602.5), Army West Point (387) and Lehigh (354) are the top three teams. The Patriot League Championships conclude tomorrow. Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. with the finals following at 6 p.m.
