LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell women’s swimming and diving had two student-athletes named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, as announced by the conference office Friday. Senior Rachel Perry landed a spot on the academic team for the third time, while junior Julianna Foss received the award for the second straight year.
Perry is nearing the end of an outstanding Bucknell career, both in swimming and academically. She carries a near perfect 3.94 GPA as an accounting and financial management major and earned a spot on the all-academic team in all three years of eligibility. A Dean’s List student, Perry is also a CSCAA Scholar All-American.
Perry scored 26.5 points in her final Patriot League Championships, taking third in the 100 back, 10th in the 100 free, and 13th in the 50 free. Additionally, she was on two relays (200 medley, 400 free ) that broke school records. She owns individual program top-10 times in the 100 back, 200 back, and 50 free.
Foss, a biology major with a 3.74 GPA, has now made the all-academic team in each of her two years of eligibility. A Dean’s List student, she is also a two-year member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Foss led Bucknell and finished fifth overall at the Patriot League Championships with 48 points. She finished second in the 100 fly with a school-record time, third in the 200 IM with the second-fastest time in program history, and fourth in the 200 fly. She was on both the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay teams that set school records. Foss was honored with First Team All-Patriot League honors for the third straight year. She is the school record holder in both the 100 fly and 200 fly.
Bucknell’s two Academic All-Patriot League selections tied it with Army West Point, Boston University, and Navy for the most in the conference.
