TUXEDO PARK, N.Y. -- Freshmen Connor O'Brien and Jubal Early are both in the top 20 and the Bucknell men's golf team sits in fifth place after 36 holes of play at the Tuxedo Autumn Invitational, hosted by Columbia at the Tuxedo Club. The Bison posted rounds of 302 and 299, and their 601 total trails only Columbia (578), Drexel (579), St. Thomas Aquinas (592) and Lafayette (600).

O'Brien, who is trying for his fourth straight top-20 finish to start his career, sits in a tie for 15th place after posting scores of 75-74 on Friday. Early is tied for 18th, one stroke behind O'Brien at 150 after a pair of 75s. Sophomore Daniel Levin also had a consistent day, carding 76-75 for a 151 total and a T-23rd standing.

Also for Bucknell, John Edler shot 80-75 and D.J. Magee carded 76-85. Two Bison are playing as individuals this week. Nick Geissler opened with 81-77, while J.B. Thompson shot 82-81.

Three players in the field are below par after 36 holes. Harrison Shih of Columbia is 2-under after firing a pair of 70s. Christopher Crawford of Drexel (70-71) and Arjuna Anday of Columbia (68-73) are both 1-under on the par-71 layout.

The third and final round gets underway on Saturday morning.
