TUXEDO PARK, N.Y. -- John Edler fired a 1-over-par 72, and the Bucknell men's golf team compiled a final-round 297 on Sunday to move up two spots to a third-place finish at the Tuxedo Autumn Invitational.
Daniel Levin (76-75-74), Jubal Early (75-75-75) and Connor O'Brien (75-74-76) all totaled 225 in very consistent performances, and the trio finished in a tie for 17th place in the individual standings. Edler bounced back from an 80 in the first round to close 75-72, and his 227 total put him in a tie for 25th place. D.J. Magee finished with a 76 for the Bison.
O'Brien, who holed out for eagle at No. 1 on Saturday, now has four straight top-20 finishes to start his career.
Host Columbia and Drexel finished tied atop the 11-team field at 869 after 54 holes, and Drexel won the team title in a tiebreaker. Bucknell was third at 898, one shot better than St. Thomas Aquinas and two ahead of Patriot League rival Lafayette.
Noah Firestone of Monmouth compiled a 2-under 211 to win the individual title by two shots over Columbia's Harrison Shih.
The Bison are back in action on Oct. 4-5 at the Binghamton Invitational at the Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, New York.
