NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Junior Connor O'Brien closed with a 75 on Sunday for a 54-hole total of 216, giving him a T-9th finish at the Macdonald Cup at the Course at Yale. Bucknell struggled a bit as a team, however, and slipped from fifth place to 10th after posting a final-round 309.

O'Brien shot 70-71 on the par-70 course on Saturday, and he had another solid day on Sunday with two birdies and 10 pars. He finished nine strokes behind medalist Robert Foley of Scotland's University of Stirling. Foley shot 72-66-69, and teammates Laird Shepherd and Jordan Sundborg finished right behind him in second and third place with 210 totals.

Even though Stirling finished 1-2-3 on the individual leaderboard, host Yale won the team title by one stroke with an 852 total.

Elsewhere for the Bison on Sunday, Chris Tanabe and J.P. Raftery both shot 77, Peter Bradbeer carded an 80, and Ashton Radvansky had an 85.

Bucknell is back in action next Saturday and Sunday, hosting its annual fall invitational at the Bucknell Golf Club.
