UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Bucknell men’s tennis completed a two-match weekend with a 7-0 loss to Penn State on Sunday at the Penn State Indoor Tennis Center. The Bison went up against yet another tough opponent falling to a Nittany Lions team that improved to 6-1 with its fourth straight win, three of which have come by shutout.
Senior Bryan Adams pushed his opponent to three sets at No. 4 singles before falling to Nika Dolidze. Adams took the first set 7-5, but then lost 6-2, 6-4.
The Bison had a pair of competitive matches in doubles play. Freshman Max Palmer and sophomore Andrei Vitiuc lost 6-4 on court one, while junior Max Kane and sophomore Max Haase fell by the same score on court three.
Buckell dropped to 1-8, but will look to get on track with two matches on Saturday. The Bison will play at NJIT at 9:30 a.m., and will then head to Hofstra for a 2 p.m. match.
