LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women’s water polo team suffered a 9-3 loss to No. 10 Princeton Saturday in conference play at Kinney Natatorium. Tegan Stanbach, Shyla Lintz and Colleen Barron each scored in the match.
The Bison began the day with a 14-6 win over George Washington before falling to their ninth ranked opponent of the year.
Emily Konishi, who set the program-record for assists in a single game against the Colonials, finished with a team-high two assists. Stanbach drew a team-best four ejections.
Six Bison finished with at least one steal, including Marta Considine, who recorded two. For the second straight game, the Bison finished a perfect 4-for-4 in sprints.
Princeton (18-2, 3-0 CWPA) held a 1-0 lead after one period and led 4-2 at halftime. The Tigers outscored the Bison 5-1 in the second half to secure the win.
Haley Derrod started in goal, posting nine saves.

The Bison return to the pool for two matches on Sunday. Bucknell will face Saint Francis (Pa.) at 9 a.m., followed by No. 7 Michigan at 3 p.m. Both games will broadcast on the Patriot League Network.
