LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell junior center Nana Foulland earned The Rock Patriot League Player of the Week honors on Tuesday on the strength of two double-doubles that helped the Bison to a 2-0 start in conference play. Foulland averaged 16.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in wins over Navy and Army West Point, and he captured his second Patriot League honor of the season.
Bucknell rallied from 13 points down early in the second half to defeat Navy 59-55 on Friday in Annapolis, Foulland logged 12 points and 12 rebounds in that game. Three days later, he tallied 20 points and 12 more rebounds in an 84-76 home win over Army West Point.
Foulland was 8-for-12 from the field against Army, and he is now shooting 61.3 percent on the season to rank second in the Patriot League and 19th in the nation. He is also averaging 14.7 points, 8.5 rebounds and a league-best 2.1 blocked shots per game. Last week's games marked his sixth and seventh double-doubles of the season.
Bucknell is now 10-5 overall and 2-0 in the Patriot League. The Bison are back in action on Thursday at American at 7:30 p.m.
