PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Senior attacker Christina Manis recorded a career-high six assists, giving her a school-record 79 for her career, but it was not enough as the Bucknell women's lacrosse team fell 11-7 at Temple on Sunday. The Bison saw their three-game winning streak come to an end and fell to 5-2 on the season, while Temple improved to 7-1.

The bulk of Manis' distribution on Sunday went to Audrey Walsh, who scored four goals, and Maddy Molinari, who tallied three times to account for all seven Bison scores. With her 79 career assists, Manis surpassed the previous record of 78, set by Carol Donohue from 2007-10.

The Owls took the lead for good not quite 10 minutes into the game, breaking a 1-1 tie with a run of four straight goals. It was still a four-goal margin at 9-5 when Walsh and Molinari scored two minutes apart to pull the Bison within two with seven minutes to go. But Anna Frederick scored a big insurance goal for Temple, and Kira Gensler tacked on one more with eight seconds left.

Bucknell dominated at the draw circle, winning 15 of 20, led by five draw controls by Mary Margaret Kenney. The Bison finished with a 22-19 shot advantage, but they were also hampered by 23 turnovers.

Brenda McDermott had a six-point day for Temple with two goals and four assists. The Owls had seven different goal-scorers in the game.

Manis and Molinari both moved into the top 10 on Bucknell's career points list on Sunday. Manis (136) and Molinari (133) now rank ninth and 10th, respectively.

This was Bucknell's final non-conference game of the year. The Bison open up Patriot League play next Saturday against Boston University at Graham Field at 1 p.m.
