UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Bucknell men’s track and field team concluded competition Saturday at the Penn State National Open at Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.

Luke Giugliano was the top collegiate runner in the 3,000-meter, taking second in a field of 22 runners with a time of 8:26.17, 11 seconds faster than his mark last week at the Gulden Invitational.

Drew Dorflinger improved upon his time in the mile. At the Gulden Invitational, he completed the race in 4:19.85. On Saturday, he finished fourth of 18 with a mark of 4:15.32.

Will Carter put his name into the Bucknell record book in the 200m. He placed ninth in the race with an IC4A-qualifying mark of 22.12.

Joseph Breen finished fifth of 18 in the shot put, recording a heave of 55-0 ¾, a season best.

Bison Open & Multi 

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bison men finished up day two of the 19th-Annual Bison Open & Multi Saturday at Gerhard Fieldhouse.

Elijah Kay was the runner-up in the high jump, posting a leap of 6-4 ¼. Reggie Harris finished third of 23 in the long jump with a distance of 21-8 ¾.

Brennan McTighe took third of 33 in the shot put with a heave of 47-7. The Bison placed three in the top-10 of the event, as CJ Falcioni (45-11 ¾) finished fifth and Zach Ruiz (44-3 ¼) placed eighth, respectively. 

Bucknell will hit the road for a pair of meets. A group will travel to Notre Dame to compete at the Meyo Invitational, while another will go to Youngstown to participate in the Youngstown State Invitational. Both meets are set for Feb. 3-4.
