YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Bison earned two more first-place finishes on the final day of competition Saturday at the Youngstown State National Invitational at Watson and Tressel Training Site. Bucknell finished the weekend with four individual victories while adding three IC4A-qualifying marks.
After winning his first career individual title Friday in the 1,000-meter, Jordan Jackson picked up his second in the 800m, finishing first of 47 with a time of 1:56.10. Jackson was one of three Bison to place in the top-five, as Kyle Adams and Sean Conway finished third and fourth, respectively.
Reggie Harris earned his third victory of the season in the triple jump. He was the best in a field of 20 jumpers with a leap of 45-11 ¾.
Joseph Breen was the runner-up in a field of 39 participants in the shot put, recording a toss of 53-3 ½.
Jeffrey Brown took fourth of 42 in the 60m with a time of 7.03. He also cracked the top-10 in the 200m, clocking in at 22.49.
NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Bucknell men’s track and field team concluded action at the Meyo Invitational Saturday at Loftus Sports Center.
William Melchionni ran an indoor-best in the 400m, clocking in at 49.45. Scott Gulizio posted an IC4A-qualifying mark in the 800m for the second consecutive week with a time of 1:53.59.
The Bison have one last meet before the Patriot League Championships, the Bucknell Tune-Up on Feb. 10 at Gerhard Fieldhouse.
