LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell junior Lindsay Dodovich earned Corvias Patriot League Golfer of the Month honors on Wednesday after three strong showings during the month of September, including her first collegiate tournament victory.
Dodovich won the Bucknell Invitational on Sept. 17-18, posting rounds of 72-77 for a three-stroke victory over Niagara's Emily Doyle. Dodovich became Bucknell's first individual tournament winner since Minjoo Lee claimed the Wendy's Invitational at Coosaw Creek in Charleston, South Carolina in October of 2010. Katie Jurenovich was the last Bison to win the Bucknell Invitational, with her title coming in a playoff in 2010.
Dodovich also led the Bison to their fourth team title at the Bucknell Invitational. Also in September, she finished T-23rd at the Nittany Lion Invitational (76-80-76) and T-52nd at the Navy Fall Invitational (82-83). Including one October tournament, Dodovich has a team-best 78.1 scoring average on the season.
Bucknell has one fall tournament remaining, the Lehigh Invitational on Oct. 23-24.
