WALLACE, N.C. -- A career-best 76 from freshman Meredith Langs highlighted Bucknell's opening day at the Sunoco Campbell Oil Classic, hosted by UNC Pembroke at River Landing Golf Club. The Bison posted team scores of 314 and 315 on Monday, and they sit in sixth place after 36 holes.

Bucknell put up four scores in the 70s in the morning round: a pair of 78s from Lindsay Dodovich and Emily Larson and 79s from Anna Dailey and Katie Childers

Langs opened with an 82, then came back to shoot a 4-over-par 76 in the afternoon. Childers shot 77 in the second round, and her 36-hole total of 156 is best on the team and tied for 15th in the field of 53 players. Langs is T-25th at 158.

Dodovich and Larson both shot 81 in the afternoon and sit in T-29th at 159. Dailey followed up her 79 with an 84.

Led by an opening-round 68 from Katy Flax, UNC Pembroke sits in first place with a 607 team total (303-304). Carson-Newman and Queen's (N.C.) are tied for second at 611.

Flax shot 76 in round two, but her even-par 144 total is good for a two-stroke advantage over Mount Olive's Julia Kaeding on the individual leaderboard.

The third and final round is slated for Tuesday morning.
