LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell wrestling team will make its public debut on Thursday when it holds its annual intrasquad match in Davis Gym. Start time is 7 p.m. A total of 10 matches will be held during the event, which will take place 10 days prior to the Bison’s Nov. 6 season opener at Oklahoma State.
Bucknell began practicing earlier this year in the brand new Graham Wrestling Training Center, located on the second floor of the Graham Building. The facility includes ample wrestling space featuring video-replay technology, weight room, coaches' offices, locker rooms, athletic training suite and team study area.
The Bison will not hold a regular-season match at home until a Jan. 10 dual vs. Franklin & Marshall. Bucknell will host six duals and the EIWA Championships (March 3-4) this season.
The Bison are coming off a 12-6, 6-3 EIWA season in which they tied for the second-most dual victories in program history. Bucknell equaled its best-ever finish at the EIWA Championships (3rd), had six EIWA placewinners and equaled a school record with six NCAA qualifiers.
