About the Bison
-- Bucknell enters its final regular season match on a season-best nine-match winning streak. The Bison defeated Binghamton 33-7 last Friday, and followed that with a 22-16 win over Army West Point on Sunday
-- Bucknell’s nine-match winning streak is its longest since it won 10 in a row in 2014-15.
-- The Bison reached double figures in victories for a fourth consecutive year, the first time in program history that has happened.
-- Tyler Smith (141 pounds), Victor Lopez (157) and Tom Sleigh (197) remain in the national rankings this week.
-- Smith had big win in matchup of ranked opponents at 141 pounds in the win over Army, beating No. 16 Logan Everett in overtime, 14-10. It was his eighth career win over a ranked opponent, including three this season.
-- Sleigh brings an 18-bout winning streak into the matchup, the longest by a Bison wrestler this year. He is a team-best 27-4 on the season and is 15th on the program’s career victories list with 85. Sleigh is listed 12th in school history in career winning percentage (.726).
-- Lopez ranks ninth in program history in wins with a 102-49 career record. He hit the 100-win milestone with a tech fall against Sacred Heart earlier this season.
-- In his first season at heavyweight, senior Tyler Greene is an impressive 17-8, including 8-1 in EIWA duals. He is currently on an eight-match winning streak.
-- Bucknell has won its last six home matches and is 8-1 in its last nine home duals.
-- The last Bucknell loss to a non-ranked team was more than a year ago, when the Bison were defeated by Penn 19-18 in February of 2016. That span includes 13 non-ranked contests.
-- Bucknell’s eight seniors will be honored prior to the match. The group includes Rory Bonner, Grim Gonzalez, Tyler Greene, Logan Kerin, Joey Krulock, Victor Lopez, Jackson Timm, and Austin Wetterau.
