About the Bison
>> Bucknell, the seventh-ranked team in the Mid-Atlantic region, returns to action following a pair of meets at Penn State and Lafayette.
>> The Bison finished ninth in a loaded field of 19 teams at the Penn State Nationals. Bucknell tallied a final score of 223, finishing ahead of ACC programs Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh.
>> Christine Bendzinski finished 16th in a field of 223 runners in the 6k race, earning Patriot League Female Runner of the Week honors. Kate Scott finished 20th, while Sarah Chandler finished 37th, giving Bucknell three runners in the top 40.
>> Bucknell finished second of five teams at the Leopard Invitational, finishing ahead of Lafayette, Seton Hall and St. Joseph’s.
>> Margaret Thomson took third of 52 in the race, while Tabitha Wismer finished sixth and Lindsay Schafer placed ninth to give the Bison three top 10 finishers.    

Patriot League Championship History
>> Bucknell is the defending champions of the race, turning in the Patriot League’s most dominating performance in the past seven years.
>> The Bison took home six of the 14 possible All-Patriot League awards at the event, while head coach Kevin Donner was named PL Coach of the Year.
>> Bucknell took three of the top four spots, as Scott was the runner-up, Bendzinski finished third and Chandler placed fourth, respectively, giving the Bison three returning First Team All-Patriot League honorees. Christine O’Kane finished 14th, earning Second Team All-PL accolades.
>> The Bison have won six Patriot League titles since Donner took over the program in 2001, including three straight from 2005-07. The program has won nine titles overall, including three straight under Art Gulden from 1998-2000. 

*Quote – “Our women have had a very good year,” says Donner. “We are not changing anything this week as far as training goes, but mentally, our women seem to rise for the league meets.”
