LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell senior OL Julie'n Davenport has added two more All-America honors to his list of accomplishments. The four-time All-Patriot League selection was named to the STATS FCS All-America First Team and the Walter Camp Football Foundation FCS All-America First Team. Those two honors are the latest for the highly decorated Davenport, who was also named an Associated Press All-American and an AFCA All-American in the last week.
Davenport is the first Bison player to earn four All-America awards in the same season since Bryce Robertson in 2011. He now has five career All-America honors since he was named a STATS FCS Second Team All-American following his junior campaign in 2015.
A two-year team captain, Davenport is one of 13 players in Patriot League history to be named All-Patriot League four times. He was a three-time First Team selection after being named to the Second Team as a freshman in 2013.
The only member of Bucknell’s senior class to start all 44 games over the last four years, Davenport was a First Team STATS FCS Preseason All-America selection this past summer, and was named to the Athlon Sports Preseason FCS All-America Team. He was a three-time Preseason All-Patriot League choice.
Davenport earned the team’s Stuart M. Smith Award as its top newcomer in 2013, the Most Improved Offensive Player Award at the conclusion of 2015 spring practice, and he took home the John Campana Award as the team’s outstanding offensive lineman last year. This year, he was the winner of the Tom Gadd Coaches Award and the team’s Captains Award at the squad’s postseason banquet.
