LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell's Bryan Marine was named a third team College Sports Madness FCS Preseason All-American, the organization announced Friday.

In nine games a year ago, the cornerback totaled 54 tackles (39 solo), two interceptions, 15 passes defended and three forced fumbles.

The Patriot League leader in passes defended and forced fumbles, Marine also placed second nationally in passes defended per game (1.7).

A 2016 All-Patriot League First Team selection, Marine enters 2017 with 107 tackles (82 solo), 24 passes defended, six interceptions and three forced fumbles in 20 career games.

In addition, 10 Bison were honored on the College Sports Madness Preseason All-Patriot League Team. Bucknell's three Patriot League Preseason All-League Team honorees, DL Abdullah Anderson, Marine and LB Ben Richard, were placed on the first team while RB Joey DeFloria earned a spot on the second team.

The following players were named to the third team: K/P John Burdick, RB Chad Freshnock, S Joe Lauro, QB Matt Muh, TE Andrew Podbielski and LB Mark Pyles.
