EASTON, Pa. - Competing in its final regular season meet of the 2016 season, the Bucknell men’s cross country team finished fifth out of seven teams at the Leopard Invitational Saturday, hosted by Lafayette at Metzgar Fields Athletic Complex, the site of the league championships.

Bucknell accumulated a score of 134, finishing ahead of La Salle (145) and Lafayette (210). Lehigh won the team title with a score of 26, followed by Temple (47) and St. Joseph’s (89).

In a field of 86 runners, Kyle Adams led the way for the Bison with a seventh-place finish in the 8k race, crossing the line in 26:30. Marc Steinsberger of Temple won the individual race in 25:42, finishing 33 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Johnathan Condly.  

Jordan Jackson finished 27th in the race, followed by Brendan McGill (39th) and Landin Delaney (47th) to give Bucknell four runners in the top 50.

Bucknell, the 10th-ranked team in the Mid-Atlantic region, is set to compete at the Patriot League Championships on Oct. 29 at Lafayette.
