LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women’s track and field team earned a pair of Patriot League weekly awards, announced by the league office on Tuesday. Meg Sangimino was tabbed M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week, while Kaitlin Salisbury was named M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Rookie of the Week.

Sangimino set a personal-record in her outdoor debut at the Jim Taylor Invitational. In the javelin, she recorded a throw a 150-06, which now ranks fourth on Bucknell’s all-time list. Her toss is the best in the Patriot League this season and 40th-best in the NCAA.

Salisbury earns her fourth Patriot League weekly citation of the year. The rookie won the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.35, which stands as the fifth-best time in the league. She also helped a Bison 4x1 relay squad earn first-place with a time of 47.66, the third-best mark in the Patriot League and the seventh-fastest time in school history.

Bucknell will compete this weekend at the Colonial Relays on Mar. 31-Apr. 1.
