WEST POINT, N.Y. – Bucknell closed its three-game Patriot League softball series at Army West Point with a 6-0 loss Sunday. The Bison dropped to 23-15 overall and 6-6 in the conference, but still hold the fourth and final spot in the conference tournament with six league games remaining on the schedule.

Bucknell now turns its attention to a huge three-game series at Holy Cross on Saturday and Sunday. The winner of that series will likely earn the fourth spot in the league tournament.

The Bison had just two hits in Sunday’s loss, a pair of singles by Meghan Kovac. They added five walks, including two by Julienne Egofske.

Army West Point finished with 10 hits. Katie Ontiveros led the way, going 2-for-2 with a home run and a single.

The Black Knights improved to 31-16 overall and 10-5 in the conference.
