LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell’s Tara Baglivo has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week after helping the Bison sweep Colgate in a three-game softball series this past weekend. Baglivo earned the honor for the first time in her career.
Baglivo went 6-for-10 (.600) at the plate with one RBI and one stolen base in three games against the Raiders. In a doubleheader sweep on Saturday, she was 5-for-7 over the two games combined.
This past weekend added to a great performance in conference play for Baglivo. She is batting .371 (13-35) and is 6-for-7 on stolen-base attempts in 14 league games. She has at least one hit in each of the past four games.
The Bison will play a non-conference doubleheader at Penn State on Wednesday at 5 p.m. They follow that with a three-game series at Boston University on Saturday and Sunday that could decide the regular season champion and host for the Patriot League Tournament.
