LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's tennis squad ended the Bloomsburg Invitational on Sunday afternoon, winning a total of 10 matches, which gives the team 19 total for the weekend.

In the singles matches against Villanova, Ira Reibeisen (Armonk, N.Y/Rye Country Day School) got the Bison off to a good start beating Dimitri Chimerakis in straight sets 6-3, 7-5. Jonathan Brenner (Manhasset, N.Y./Chaminade) dropped Brian Maher 6-0, 6-2, while Zach Hascoe (Greenwich, Conn./Brunswick) won his third singles match in a tiebreaker against Sean Daly 6-3, 1-6 (10-8). Daniel Bednarek (Haworth, N.J./Bergen Catholic) also won his match in a tiebreaker, defeating Brett Tobin 7-6, 1-6 (10-8). Ben Young (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) notched his first singles win of the year, beating Sumanth Chittajallu 6-3, 6-3, while Ben Rosenstock (West Essex, N.J./West Essex) dropped Larry Tran 6-1, 6-2.

Against Binghamton in singles, Reibeisen and Hascoe lost their singles matches to Faisal Mohamed and Justin Salkin 6-2, 6-7 (4), (14-12) and 6-7 (3), 6-3, (10-6), respectively. Bednarek and Young continued their strong play, defeating Reina Kohtake and Danish Ali, respecticvely.

In the Bloomsburg doubles matches, Ryan Sandburg (Orange, Calif/Canyon) and Brenner downed Dan Phillips and Wil Biddle 8-5, while Bednarek and Sidharth Makkar (Queens, N.Y./Bronx School of Science) dropped Geoff Whitely and Austin Peters 8-2.

The Bucknell men's tennis team will travel to Providence, R.I., for the Brown Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 16 in an all-day event.
