LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell’s Blake Buchholz was nearly flawless in a 3-0 sweep of Loyola (Md.) on Saturday, and has been rewarded with Molten Rookie of the Week honors by the Patriot League. It is the second time this season she has received the award.

Buchholz had an outstanding performance in Bucknell’s 3-0 sweep of Loyola (Md.) on Saturday as she just missed a double-double with 14 kills and nine digs while recording a .609 hitting percentage. That hitting percentage stands as the third-best mark in the Patriot League this season. Buchholz did not have any errors on her 23 attempts and led the Bison in kills, digs and aces.

Buchholz is the third Bucknell player to win Rookie of the Week honors at least twice. Jenna Henderson was a three-time recipient of the award in 2004, while current senior Karen Campbell was a two-time winner in 2012.

The Bison are 12-12 overall and 6-8 in the Patriot League with two home matches remaining on the schedule. They will host Army West Point on Friday at 5 p.m., and Holy Cross for Senior Day on Saturday at 4 p.m. They are 4-4 at Davis Gym this season.
