LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell volleyball team wraps up the 2015 season with a pair of home matches this weekend. The Bison will host Army West Point on Friday at 5 p.m., and Holy Cross on Saturday at 4 p.m.

With a win in either match, Bucknell (12-12, 6-8 Patriot League) will guarantee itself a .500 record for the first time since the 2006 team finished 20-12. The Bison already have their most conference wins since the 2010 season.

Bucknell is coming off a 3-0 sweep over Loyola (Md.), led by a big match from freshman Blake Buchholz. She was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week after tallying 14 kills and a hitting percentage of .609. She just missed a double-double, adding nine digs.

Army West Point will be a tough challenge on Friday. The Black Knights enter the weekend at 20-7 overall and sit in second-place in the Patriot League standings at 12-2. They are coming off back-to-back sweeps over Navy and Lafayette and both of their losses in league play this season have come to unbeaten American. Carolyn Bockrath and Vanessa Wesley rank first and second in the conference in hitting percentage.

Holy Cross enters the weekend with a 7-20 overall record and a 4-10 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders are coming off a 3-1 loss to Navy, but posted wins over Loyola (Md.) and Lafayette prior to that. Mandy Sifferlen ranks first in the conference in kills/set (3.88) and fourth in aces (34).

Bucknell is 1-1 against its weekend opponents this season. The Bison were swept by Army West Point in the first meeting, but posted a 3-1 win on the road against Holy Cross.

Four seniors will be honored prior to Saturday’s match. Karen Campbell, Kristen Gelenitis, Katie Price and Meghan Wentzel will play their final game as members of the Bucknell volleyball team.
