WEST POINT, N.Y. – Bucknell caught another team on a winning streak, falling to Army West Point 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-16) in a Patriot League volleyball match Saturday at Gillis Field House. The Bison fell to 8-10 overall and 4-6 in the conference, while the Black Knights ran their winning streak to six matches and improved to 15-8 overall and 8-2 in the league.

The Bison dropped a hard-fought, two-point loss in the first set for the second consecutive match, just missing an opportunity to take the early momentum. They led 23-21 after a kill by Celeste Barker, but the Black Knights scored the final five points. Amber Clay recorded a kill to clinch the set.

Sophomore Mimi Richards paced the Bison with nine kills and a .389 hitting percentage. Sophomore Brooke Stark led the team with 15 digs, while sophomore Sophie Bullard and freshman Anna Carroll chipped in with seven and six kills, respectively.

Haven Bethune registered a double-double with 44 assists and 11 digs. Vanessa Wesley had a solid match with 11 kills and five block assists.

Bucknell returns to action when it hosts Lehigh on Friday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. The Bison follow that with a match at Lafayette on Sunday, Oct. 29.
