LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell freshman Abby Kapp was named the Patriot League Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week on Monday after posting a career-best scoring day in the Bison’s 71-62 loss on the road to a tough Fordham team.
Kapp scored a career-high 10 points in 15 minutes of action in the loss to the Rams. She was 4-of-5 from the field, including makes on each of her two attempts from beyond the arc. Kapp added two assists and a steal in the contest.
The Bison have earned two weekly awards this season. Junior Kaitlyn Slagus was voted the Patriot League Player of the Week after registering back-to-back double-doubles in wins over Rider and Akron in the first week of the season.
Bucknell wraps up the non-conference portion of its schedule when it travels to play Pittsburgh on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
