Presidents’ Cup points are awarded based on a team’s performances in the regular season and postseason Patriot League standings. In cross country, golf, rowing, swimming and diving and track and field, the points are awarded based on the final team finish at the Patriot League Championship. Points for football are based on regular-season standings.
The Bison women's soccer team won both the regular-season and Patriot League Tournament titles this fall. Bucknell finished 16-2-2 overall -- setting team records for wins and winning percentage in a season -- and 8-1-0 in the Patriot League. The Bison then defeated Lafayette and Boston University at Emmitt Field to capture the Patriot League Tournament title for the third time in program history.
Women's cross country turned in the most dominant performance in Patriot League Championship history last month in Easton, Pa. Christine Bendzinski, Kate Scott, Sarah Chandler and Colleen Buckley finished 1-2-3-4, a first in league history. Bucknell's 23 points were well beneath runner-up Lehigh's 75.
Elsewhere, the Bison football team finished in fourth place with a 3-3 league record this fall. Men's soccer and field hockey both advanced to the Patriot League Tournament semifinals, men's cross country finished in fifth place at the Patriot League Championship, and volleyball tied for seventh place.
