LEWISBURG, Pa. – We have reached the final exams break at Bucknell, which serves as sort of an unofficial halfway mark in the academic calendar. The Bison varsity athletics teams are on hiatus for about 11 days while the student-athletes focus on their finals.
The first semester brought many thrills to Bison fans, highlighted by three fall conference championships in women's cross country, women's soccer and men's water polo. In the winter season, men's (7-3) and women's (6-3) basketball are both off to strong starts, we have already seen school-record performances in swimming and track and field, and the young wrestling squad has tested itself against some of the nation's best competition.
With plenty more action to come this year, we thought this would be a good time to answer some FAQs and remind fans about the best ways to follow the Bison from near and far.
ON YOUR COMPUTER
Many of you might be reading this article on the recently revamped BucknellBison.com website. We recently gave the site a fresh look and reconfigured some high-traffic areas, such as the upcoming schedule of events on the front page.
Note: Some frequent visitors to the site experienced a glitch loading the page for the first time after the redesign launched. If you are still seeing that issue, clear out your browser history and refresh the page, and it will load properly. Please contact us if you are having difficulty.
BucknellBison.com is the official website of Bucknell Athletics, and this is your best source for stories, videos, information, stats, schedules, photos and much more. Most home events feature live, in-game statistical updates. New “In the Herd” on-demand videos are posted regularly and will focus on student-athlete profiles and look-aheads to upcoming games. The new "Bucky's Blog" provides even more features and information.
ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE
BucknellBison.com also has a mobile-enhanced version, which delivers a condensed style of the official athletics site to provide latest news and updates to handheld devices. Bucknell’s official athletic site is available on all web-enabled devices by opening a browser and entering BucknellBison.com. Fans can get the latest news, scores, upcoming schedule, photo galleries and more.
We also highly recommend that Apple and Android users download the official Bucknell Athletics app from your app store. The app is an extension of the BucknellBison.com website and features much of the same information found there in a simple, user-friendly interface. Fans can browse the latest news, video features, scores, schedules and rosters. Live stats can be accessed for many of Bucknell’s home contests, and fans can listen to live radio calls for Bison football and men’s and women’s basketball games. The "Schedules" tab also provides a convenient way to add events to your calendar and set reminder alerts for big games coming up.
The iPhone and Android apps are free to download, and the majority of the information within the app is available for no charge. An additional $4.99 in-app purchase allows users watch on-demand video feature stories and highlights, as well as listen to live radio broadcasts of Bucknell football and basketball games. The iPad app requires a $4.99 purchase from the start.
The Bucknell Athletics app is the best way to listen to live audio of men's and women's basketball games from your mobile device! To do so, please follow these instructions.
1. Download the app through iTunes or Android marketplace.
2. Open up the app and confirm that you have made the in-app purchase by going to Settings>In-App Purchase (if you have already paid the $4.99 for this year, it will tell you that you have already purchased it; if not, then it will ask for payment).
3. Go to the "Audio Log-In" tab. Even though there are no additional charges at this point, you will be asked to create a user account and password, which can be used to listen on the computer or through the app. You can also create this account online HERE.
4. Go to the "Live" tab and select the game you wish to listen to. The audio link will appear once the broadcast begins.
PATRIOT LEAGUE NETWORK
Once again this year, most Bison home events and many away Patriot League contests will air live in high definition and free of charge on the Patriot League Network. Again, there is no sign-up required. Simply log on to PatriotLeague.TV, click on the game you want to watch, and that’s it!
If you missed a game when it aired live, or perhaps you attended the game in person and want to relive the best moments later on, you can watch archived versions of the games. The best way to do so is to go to PatriotLeague.TV and click on the "Choose a Date" pull-down menu. Click on the date of the game you wish to watch, and then find the game from the menu of that day's archives.
Fans can also continue to watch live events on mobile devices through the Patriot League Network, with access via PatriotLeague.TV or the Campus Insiders app.
ON THE RADIO
Eagle 107 (WEGH 107.3 FM) is once again the official flagship station for Bucknell men’s basketball in 2016-17. The games can be heard on Eagle 107 throughout the Susquehanna Valley. Women’s basketball games can be heard on Bucknell’s campus radio station WVBU 90.5 FM.
As detailed above, the audio broadcasts are also available at BucknellBison.com and via the Bucknell Athletics app.

Of course, there is no better way to support the Bison than to come on out to campus, wear plenty of orange and cheer on the teams from a great seat in one of our venues! With the exception of football, men’s and women’s basketball, and select postseason championships, there is free admission to Bucknell athletics events. Just walk in and find a seat!
Head over to the FACILITIES page for more information about each of our athletics venues, as well as for directions and a campus map if you are visiting for the first time. You can also use the "Facilities" tab in the Bucknell Athletics app to navigate to each of our venues via GPS.
To purchase tickets to men's and women's basketball games, visit our online TICKET STORE. Or to purchase tickets in person or over the phone, call 570-577-1000 or stop by the Campus Box Office, located at the Weis Center on campus.
