LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's lacrosse team rose to 14th in both the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coaches' Poll and Inside Lacrosse Maverik Media Listing this week.

The Bison climbed two spots in the USILA Coaches' Poll and four spots in the Maverik Media Listing after downing then No. 15/20 Army West Point, 10-7, on the road. With that victory, they improved to 7-3 overall, 5-1 in the Patriot League and 3-1 against nationally ranked opponents.

Bucknell, which is locked in a tie for first in the league standings with No. 15/17 Lehigh and Navy, has already clinched a spot in the 2018 Patriot League Tournament. The Bison have now qualified for 11 of the past 12 Patriot League Tournaments, only missing the 2017 edition.

Last week, Bucknell returned to the USILA Coaches' Poll at No. 16 and entered the Maverik Media Listing for the first time this season at No. 18 following a 12-11 victory at then No. 6 Loyola. The Bison were previously ranked No. 20 in the USILA Coaches' Poll during the week of Feb. 26.

The Bison have been led by Will Sands, who was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List and honored as a Midseason Third Team All-American by Inside Lacrosse. Sands is on pace to have one of the finest seasons in the program's 50-year history; with 55 points (19g-36a) in the first 10 games, he stands third in the country and needs just three points to crack Bucknell's top 10 in single-season points for the third time in his collegiate career.

Bucknell closes non-conference play this week by traveling to No. 3 Yale and hosting Mount St. Mary's. After facing off against the Bulldogs on Wednesday, April 4 at 7 p.m., the Bison return home for the first time in four games to take on the Mountaineers on Saturday, April 7 at 7 p.m.
