LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Junior attackman Connor O'Hara earned his first career Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week award on Monday, in honor of his stellar four-goal game Saturday afternoon against Bryant. The four goals marked a career high for O'Hara, none bigger than his tiebreaking strike with 11 seconds left in Bucknell's come-from-behind 9-8 win over Bryant.
Bucknell trailed 8-5 late in the third quarter before ending the game on a 4-0 run. O'Hara had three of those four goals. On the deciding tally, Will Sands picked out O'Hara in the slot sveen yards from goal, and O'Hara ripped the back of the net with an overhand shot.
O'Hara now has five goals on the season to help the Bison to a 2-0 start, both coming via one-goal wins.
Bucknell has now claimed both of the Patriot League's Offensive Player of the Week awards this season. Sean O'Brien claimed the honor after pumping in six goals in the season-opening win at Delaware.
The Bison are back home again on Saturday, taking on Fairfield at 11:30 a.m. at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
