-- The Bison are off to a 2-0 start with a pair of come-from-behind, one-goal victories. Bucknell rallied from five goals down in the third quarter to beat Delaware 14-13 in the season opener on Feb. 4, and then last Saturday the Bison trailed 8-5 late in the third quarter before scoring the game's final four goals in a 9-8 home win over Bryant.
-- Connor O'Hara played a starring role in last week's victory over the Bulldogs. He scored a career-high four goals, three of them coming in that 4-0 run to close out the game. His dramatic tally with 11 seconds remaining in the game provided the Bison with their first lead of the day.
-- O'Hara was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, following in the footsteps of teammate Sean O'Brien, who won the same award the previous week after scoring six goals in the win over Delaware.
-- Will Sands leads the team with 11 points on a pair of goals and nine assists. Sands leads the Patriot League in assists and points entering the weekend.
-- O'Brien is the league's top goal-scorer with eight on the season. O'Hara and Reed Malas have five goals apiece.
-- Jarett Witzal is off to a strong start at the faceoff X. He is 30-for-47 (.638) on the season with a team-high 16 ground balls.
-- The Stags come in with an 0-1 record after falling to Richmond 15-3 last Saturday. Fairfield was ranked No. 20 in the USILA Coaches' Poll at the time, but the Stags fell behind the Spiders 8-2 and were never able to make a run.
-- Travis Ford, Colin Burke and Nico Panepinto scored goals for Fairfield.
-- Andy Copelan ’03, a former All-Patriot League midfielder for the Bison, is in his ninth season as head coach at Fairfield, where he has a stellar 73-50 record. Copeland led the Stags to the Colonial Athletic Association regular-season title in each of the last two seasons.
-- Matt Fedorjaka, the son of Bison head coach Frank Fedorjaka, is a freshman attackman at Fairfield.
-- Fairfield was picked second in the CAA preseason poll, behind Towson.

-- Bucknell and Fairfield have met five times previously, with the Bison winning three.
-- Last season Bucknell became the first road team to win a game in the series, taking a 13-8 decision in Connecticut. Sean Doyle had three goals and two assists to lead the Bison, who piled up a whopping 60-19 shot advantage. Bucknell trailed 4-3 at the half, then scored seven times while outshooting the Stags 25-2 in the third quarter. Tyler Behring made 23 saves for Fairfield, 15 in the second half.
-- Bucknell won 10-9 in the last meeting in Lewisburg in 2015. Brac McKee made a point-blank save with four seconds remaining in the game to preserve the win.
