About Bucknell
-- The Bison are off to a 2-1 to the 2017 season. They opened with a pair of come-from-behind, one-goal victories against Delaware and Bryant, but could not pull off the comeback in a 13-12 loss to Fairfield

-- Most recently against Fairfield, the Bison opened up a two-goal lead early in the first quarter. However, Fairfield managed to jump ahead with 11 goals in the second and third quarters, going up by five scores at one point before entering the fourth quarter with the 11-8 lead. The Bison managed to tie the game at 11-11, but the Stags answered with two goals in a row to squeeze out the victory.

-- Sean O'Brien led Bucknell with four goals against Fairfield, bringing his team-leading total to 12 goals. Connor O'Hara contributed three goals, while Will Sands tallied two goals and four assists.

-- O’Brien’s four goals per game rank first in the Patriot League, while Sands is first in the conference and third in the nation with 4.33 assists per game.

-- As a team, Bucknell also leads the conference in fewest turnovers per game (10.0), and its passing ability gives it the second-most assists (25).

-- It’s the second time in program history that Bucknell has opened its season with three straight one-goal matches, with it also happening in 1982.

Scouting Colgate
-- Colgate enters with a 0-2 record to begin its 2017 season. The Raiders opened the year with a 12-8 defeat to Marist, and dropped its matchup 11-8 against Binghamton last weekend.

-- The Raiders are coming off of a 4-10 season in which it went 2-6 in the Patriot League. 

-- Anthony Abbadessa leads the team with five goals this season in the first two games. His 15 goals a year ago tied for first on the Colgate team.

-- Will Blumenberg has scored three goals as well, while Chase Wittich and Joe Delaney have added two assists each. 

-- Colgate was picked seventh in the Patriot League preseason poll.

Series History with Colgate
-- Bucknell holds a 21-17 all-time record over Colgate, dating back to 1979. 

-- The Raiders have won the past five matchups in the series, with four of those games being decided by two goals or less.

-- Most recently, Colgate earned an 11-10 overtime victory over the Bison in the first conference game of 2016. The Bison jumped out to a 4-1 lead, but relinquished that lead over the next few quarters. Neither team scored in the final 10:25 of regulation, but Eric Foote gave Colgate the win in overtime. Sands led Bucknell with four points off of two goals and two assists.
