LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Saturday's Bucknell-Loyola men's lacrosse game will be televised by the American Sports Network and distributed to stations across the country (ASN CLEARANCE LIST). Brendan McDaniels and Eric Frede will have the call of the game, which starts at 1 p.m. at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.

In addition, the broadcast will stream live on the Patirot League Network at PatriotLeague.TV.

After securing a much-needed Patriot League victory at previously unbeaten Boston University last weekend, Bucknell (3-5, 1-3 PL) looks to put itself back in playoff position, but it will be a tough test against No. 17/18 Loyola (5-3, 3-0 PL). The Bison snapped a four-game losing streak with that win in Boston last Saturday. They were dealt a non-league setback on Tuesday against a red-hot Villanova team, and now Bucknell will look to get back to that upward trend against a Greyhounds squad that has won two straight and five of its last six after an 0-2 start.

Loyola is 3-0 in the Patriot League with wins over Lafayette, Holy Cross and Navy, and it sits in a tie for first place with Army West Point atop the league standings. Bucknell is 1-3 in the Patriot League and must make up ground to get back into the Patriot League Tournament for an 11th straight year.

Saturday’s game will feature the nation’s top two assist men in Loyola’s Pat Spencer (32) and Bucknell’s Will Sands (28). Sands took over the national lead in assists after dishing out five in Tuesday’s loss at Villanova. But then Spencer took the lead back 24 hours later after recording five assists of his own in Loyola’s win over Georgetown on Wednesday.

Loyola has a 6-1 lead in the all-time series, with Bucknell’s win coming here in overtime in the 2015 season finale. Last spring, Loyola won 7-6 in double-OT in the Patriot League semifinals in Annapolis, Md.

After today, the Bison have just one home game remaining, next Saturday vs. Army on Senior Day. That game will also be televised, this time by WQMY-TV in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market.
