About Bucknell
-- Bucknell (4-6 overall, 2-4 PL) is coming off an 11-10 defeat at the hands of No. 7/10 Army West Point last Saturday. The Black Knights, who are first in the Patriot League, were pushed to the final seconds before coming out with the victory.

-- Although the Bison never led in the contest, they scored three consecutive goals in the third and fourth quarters to cut the Army West Point lead to 10-9. The Black Knights would score to go up 11-9, but was followed quickly by a spectacular Quinn Collison behind-the-back goal with 1:42 remaining. However, the Bison could not find the back of the net again, ending their bid to beat a top-20 team for the third week in a row.

-- Will Sands posted six points off of one goal and a game-high five assists, while Collison had a career-high four goals. Matt Gilray caused three turnovers, while Christian Klipstein recorded 11 saves in net.

-- At 2-4 in the Patriot League, Bucknell currently sits seventh in the conference, a half-game behind 2-3 Holy Cross for the final spot in the Patriot League Tournament. The Bison still have PL road games remaining against Lafayette and Lehigh, giving them a chance to play their way into the postseason.

-- A win against Mount St. Mary’s would give the Bison a winning record against non-conference opponents for the third straight year and a win against a Northeast Conference team for the eighth straight year.

-- Five different games this season have been decided by one goal. The average margin on the season for Bucknell is 2.9 goals.

-- Special teams have been solid for the Bison this season. Although their 43 penalties are most in the Patriot League, they rank third in man-down defense (.308) in addition to ranking third in man-up scoring percentage (.393).

-- On the season, Sands leads the nation in assists with 38, and he is currently tied for fifth in program history with 82 assists in his career. He has multiple assists in every game this season, including four five-assist games. Sands now has 38 helpers this season, which is third-most in a season in Bucknell history. Only David Dickson (48 in 2013) and Chris Cara (40 in 2004) have had more.

-- Sands also ranks second in the Patriot League in points with 53, trailing only Loyola's Pat Spencer with 59.

-- Sean O'Brien and Connor O'Hara have scored 26 and 24 goals, respectively, this season. Both are career highs for the juniors. O'Brien is tied with Lehigh's Andrew Pettit for the most goals in the Patriot League, while O'Hara ranks third.

-- Goalie Christian Klipstein leads the Patriot League in saves per game (11.8) and ranks third in save percentage (.527).

Scouting Mount St. Mary’s
-- Mount St. Mary’s enters with a 3-6 record, but has won three of its past five matches, picking up wins against Bellarmine, Bryant, and VMI.

-- The Mountaineers have fared much better on the road than at home this season, going 2-1 on the road while just 1-5 at Waldren Family Stadium.

-- Most recently, the Mountaineers fell 13-5 to Northeast Conference foe Sacred Heart. Chris DiPretoro led the Mount with two goals in the game.

-- DiPretoro, who scored six times against Bucknell last season, leads the team in goals (20) and points (25). Bubba Johnson (13) and Jack Mangan (10) are also double-digit goal scorers. .

Series History with Mount St. Mary’s
-- Bucknell is 15-2 all-time against Mount St. Mary’s, dating back to 1996. The Bison won 13 consecutive contests to open up the series.

-- This will be the fifth straight season that these two teams meet, with the past four games being split at two wins apiece.

-- Last season, the Bison earned the 15-10 victory at home. Jarett Witzal broke the single-game record for faceoff wins in program history, going 21-27 on the night. Will Sands helped lead the offense with four goals and two assists.
