WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Bucknell men's swimming & diving team fell to Army West Point (223.5-73.5) and Boston College (169-129) on Saturday at Crandall Pool.
Chris Devlin's performance was a highlight for the Bison. The senior emerged victorious in the 200 backstroke (1:48.18) and 200 IM (1:54.09) while placing second in the 100 backstroke (50.36). If he wasn't already the school record holder, his time in each event would have made Bucknell's top 10.
Devin also teamed with Chadd Cummings, Jacob Lubinski and Charlie McFarland to score a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay.
Cummings (100 breaststroke) and Mitch Gavars (1,000 freestyle) took second in their respective events while Matt McGoey (200 IM) and Matt Rakovec (1,000 freestyle) added third-place finishes.
With today's result, the Bison moved to 2-5 (2-3 Patriot League) on the season. They return to action tomorrow at 1 p.m. when they host Columbia at Kinney Natatorium in their final home meet of the 2017-18 campaign.
Before the meet, seniors Kyle Bloom, Devlin, Tarik Lott and Sam Rutan will be recognized for their contributions to the program.
