BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – In a final tune-up before next weekend's Patriot League Outdoor Championships, the Bucknell men's track and field team won 13 events on Saturday at the Maroon and Gold Invitational hosted by Bloomsburg.

Nicholas Lombardo won the long jump with a leap of 24-5 ½, an outdoor-best and the third-best mark in school history. Steve Bolger was the runner-up with a jump of 23-4 ½.

William Melchionni posted a top-10 program mark in the 100-meter dash, winning the race with a time of 10.74. The Bison claimed the top four spots in the standings.

Bucknell claimed the first four slots in the 800m, led by Nick Pacelli, who won the race with a time of 1:54.82. Ryquan Harris won the 200m with a time of 22.23, while Peter Onusconich won the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.97.

Chad Sussman earned a first-place finish in the 5,000m with a time of 15:29.77.

In the 4x100m relay, a team comprised of Bobby Gablein, Jeffrey Brown, Matthew Barton and Melchionni finished in first-place with a time of 42.12.  In the 4x400m relay, a team of Louis Tobias, Sean Conway, Scott Gulizio and Jordan Jackson took first-place with a time of 3:23.45

Coming off a historic performance at the Bucknell Team Challenge, Matthew Fay, the reigning Bison Athlete of the Week, took first-place in the pole vault, clearing 16-6 ¾.

Joseph Breen won two events on Saturday, winning the shot put with a toss of 54-8 ¾ while taking first in the discus with a heave of 159-1. C.J. Falcioni won the hammer with a throw of 152-1.

Reggie Harris won the triple jump with a mark of 46-9 ½.

The Patriot League Outdoor Championships are slated for May 5-6 at Lehigh. The final day of the meet will broadcast on the Patriot League Network.
