CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Rade Joksimovic completed a hat trick with four seconds remaining in regulation to lift the No. 18 Bucknell men's water polo team to a 6-5 victory over Wagner in its first game of the Harvard Invitational Saturday morning at Blodgett Pool.

The victory stretched the Bison's winning streak to 10 games, which is the sixth longest in program history. They also remained undefeated in MAWPC play, at 7-0.

After a scoreless third period, the Seahawks (9-8, 3-2 MAWPC) drew within one with just under six minutes on the clock. Then, Oscar Nomura evened the score with nine seconds left to play. After a timeout, Bucknell's offense set up Joksimovic for the game-winning score.

Cooper Dolan (1g-1a) and Tommy Stupp (2a) also had multi-point outings for the Bison. Charlie Niehaus made nine saves while Marko Djordjevic was the team leader with five steals.

At the end of the first quarter, Bucknell held a 3-2 edge. Jeff Hagen broke a 2-2 stalemate with 37 seconds remaining in the frame. In the second quarter, Joksimovic opened the scoring with a penalty-shot strike. After Wagner drew back within one with a power-play goal, Djordjevic gave the Bison a two-goal cushion at the 14 second mark off of a Dolan feed.

Bucknell's five goals allowed is its second-lowest total of the 2017 campaign. The Bison limited Salem International to two strikes at the Bucknell Invitational on Sept. 17.

The Bison continue play in the Harvard Invitational this afternoon when they face No. 15 Brown at 2 p.m.
