Klaber will remain with the Belgium National Team while Warren earned a spot on the Welsh National Team, which is helmed by Bison head coach Remington Steele. Both teams are currently preparing for the 2019 European Championship Tournament, which will be held June 18-22, 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
“I am very excited for Tegan to start her international career and for Sophia to continue hers,” Steele said. “Representing a country is the highest honor any athlete can have, and it will be great to watch them compete against the best players in the world. I look forward to them growing from these experiences and using the skills they pick up to make an impact here at Bucknell.”
Klaber played for Belgium at the 2017 FIL World Cup, finishing first on the team in assists and draw controls and second in goals and points. The midfielder did not appear in a game for Bucknell during the 2017 campaign.
Warren was selected to Wales's 18-player roster for a home internationals tournament in March but will be unable to participate due to her commitment to Bucknell. The attacker, who saw action in the Bison's 2017 victory over Manhattan, will remain with the Welsh National Team moving forward.
Klaber, Warren and the Bison open the 2018 campaign at Robert Morris on Feb. 10. They will take on Villanova in their home opener on Feb. 21.
