About Bucknell
-- Two teams looking to extend their hot starts to the season will be meeting in Philadelphia on Sunday. Bucknell enters at 5-1 with a three-game winning streak, while Temple is 6-1 and has won its past four games.

-- Over its past three games, Bucknell has defeated Monmouth (14-10), Wagner (16-6), and most recently Manhattan in comeback fashion (8-7).

-- Against the Jaspers, Bucknell gained its first lead thanks to an Audrey Walsh goal with 18:19 remaining in the second half. The Bison then went up 6-3 before Manhattan rallied with four straight goals to go up 7-6. Still, Maddy Molinari and Christina Manis scored just 14 seconds apart to secure the 8-7 Bison victory.

-- With the victory, head coach Randall Swope tied Barb Jordan’s program record for wins by a coach with 47.

-- Manis, Walsh, and Sarah Galzerano scored two goals each in the contest, and Manis led the team with three assists. Jamie DeWitt recorded five saves.

-- At 5-1, Bucknell has its best start to a season since it went 7-0 back in 1997.

-- The Bison have loved to share the ball this year, recording 46 assists on the 64 goals scored through six games. Manis and Walsh lead the team with a combined 25 assists.

-- It has been a tale of two halves for the Bison. They have outscored opponents 37-22 in the first half, while opponents have held a 32-27 margin in the second half over the Bison. Opponents have made just seven first-half saves through five contests.

-- Several Bison can be found at the top of the conference rankings. Manis leads the Patriot League with 14 assists, DeWitt is second with an 8.85 GAA, Molinari is first with 36 draw controls, and Annie Gilbertson ranks first in caused turnovers with 18.

-- Manis moved into second place in careers assists for a Bison with 73. She is five behind tying Carol Donohue for first.

-- Temple has a 6-1 record. It has won its past four games against Saint Joseph’s, Lafayette, La Salle, and UMBC.

-- In its six wins, the Owls have scored at least 12 goals in each game.

-- Temple has averaged 16 goals per game on offense in its home matches this season.

-- The Owls use several different approaches to score, with four different players tallying at least 13 goals this season. Defensively, they have forced 57 turnovers.

 

Series History with Temple
-- This will be the first ever matchup between Bucknell and Temple.

-- Monmouth has been a common opponent between these two squads. Bucknell defeated the Hawks 14-10, while the Owls won 18-16.
