LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior Kafilat Oladiran smashed the school record in the 60-meter hurdles in one of eight event victories for the Bucknell women’s track and field team Friday night at Gerhard Fieldhouse. In their final meet before hosting the Patriot League Championships next weekend, the Bison claimed team honors at the Bucknell Tune-Up with 213.9 points, outdistancing runner-up Lehigh, which compiled 172.2.

Oladiran turned in a blazing performance in the hurdles. Her time of 8.69 seconds bettered her own school record of 8.77, set in 2016. The second-place finisher in the event was Lehigh’s Mariah Kozub, who was well back in 9.23.

Carli Lucke continued the strong performances for Bucknell by placing first in the 60-meter dash in a personal-best 7.70 to move up to second behind teammate Kaitlin Salisbury on Bucknell’s all-time top-10 list. Taylor Kennedy came in third with a time of 7.92.

Salisbury had another strong meet, winning the 200-meter dash in 25.45, just ahead of teammate Emily Ryan (26.12), while also placing second in the long jump (18-3).

The Bison were outstanding in the field events, headlined by a 1-2-3-4 finish in the high jump. Lauren Hudson led the way by clearing 5-5, followed by Alexandra Butz (5-3), Lexy Forrestal (5-3) and Sydney Contrino (5-1).

Alexis Auman won the triple jump with a top mark of 37-7 ¾, while teammate Alexa DiGregorio was second at 36-10 ¼. DiGregorio was also third in the long jump (17-8 ¾).

In the throws, Ella Schultz won the shot put with a heave of 46-1 ¼. Daija Misler (42-10 ¾) and Delia Sipe (42-9 ½) finished 3-4. Molly Montalvo took third in the weight throw with a toss of 53-2 ¾.

Pole vaulter Chloe Brown equalled her personal best by clearing 11-5 ¾, good for the No. 9 spot on Bucknell’s all-time list.

Back on the track, the Bison fared well as usual in the distance events. Madeleine Hunt won the 1,000 meters in 2:58.27, with Lauren Hazzard placing third in 3:21.21. Lauren Gronbeck won by nearly 12 seconds in the 3,000 with a time of 10:09.89. Lindsay Schafer was third in that event.

In addition, the Bison received second-place finishes from Emma Cousins in the mile (5:06.84) and Gianna Mincone in the 800 (2:18.95), and a third-place showing from Makenna Cerney in the 500 (1:20.58).

The Patriot League Indoor Championships are set for Feb. 17-18 at Bucknell’s Gerhard Fieldhouse. The Bison will be looking to win their fourth straight title.
