  • LEWISBURG, Pa. - The first edition of the 2010-11 academic year of Bison Magazine, a feature-heavy video segment on Bison Vision, is now available for viewing. Included in the first of three shows scheduled to be produced this year are features on summer jobs and internships for three select Bison student-athletes, upgrades to Depew Field and Varsity Softball Field as well as a segment on the 125th season of Bucknell football.

The nearly 14-minute Bison Magazine video piece is available to be viewed free of charge by clicking on the link at the top of this release, the video screen at the bottom of this release, the front page of BucknellBison.com, or through the Bison Vision All-Access player.

The first segment focuses on the summer internships of Bison volleyball player Heidi Kamp (Comedy Central), men's tennis player Mark Malloy (Tim Nesvig Internship at ESPN and Fox Sports) and G.W. Boon (Geisinger Medical Center).

The second segment includes an interview with John Hardt, Bucknell's director of athletics and recreation, and focuses on recent improvements to Depew Field and Varsity Softball Field. Over the summer, both fields received new dugouts and some additional brickwork around their backstop areas, continuing the long list of improvements to the West Fields in recent years.

Bison Magazine wraps up with a feature on the 125th season of Bucknell football. Interviews with former quarterback Doug Williams '63 and current head coach Joe Susan highlight the segment, which also touches on the upcoming 50th anniversary celebration of the 1960 Lambert Cup-winning team. A number of historical pictures are also shown.

Bison Magazine will air three times on Bison Vision this year. Highlight and interview packages, as well as live games, will continue to appear on Bison Vision on a regular basis. The next live broadcasts will be Friday's home volleyball match against Colgate and the women's soccer contest at Lafayette. Both events begin at 7 p.m.
