Several Bucknell Athletics Luncheons and Receptions Upcoming

LEWISBURG, Pa. - As the fall sports championship season heats up and the dawn of the winter season upon us, there is plenty of Bucknell Athletics community programming coming up in the next two weeks. Here are the highlights:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 4, 11 and 18 - Weekly Bucknell Football Luncheons. Meet head coach Tim Landis and his Bison players of the week at the Lewisburg Hotel at 11:45 a.m. to discuss the most recent game and look ahead to the next contest. Cost is $8 and includes a buffet lunch.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 5 - Women's Sports Luncheon, sponsored by Evangelical Community Hospital (11:45 a.m.). Join the Bucknell women's coaches and student-athletes for lunch and get up-to-date on how all of the in-season women's teams are faring. Cost is $7.50 and includes a buffet lunch.
  • Thursday, Nov. 6 - Bucknell men's basketball tip-off reception. Head coach Dave Paulsen and his players will be at the Towne Tavern in Lewisburg on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. to preview the new season. Prizes will be raffled off, and drinks and appetizers will be available for the $5 admission fee.
  • Thursday, Nov. 13 - The second installment of "Bison Now!" will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 in the Col. John Kelly Room at The Country Cupboard restaurant in Lewisburg. Sponsored by Damon's Grill, "Bison Now!" offers fans the chance to meet and mingle with each of Bucknell's winter sports coaches, as well as student-athletes from each team. From 7-8 p.m., "Voice of the Bison" Doug Birdsong will be hosting a one-hour, on-location radio show, with the Bucknell coaches and student-athletes rotating in as interview guests. The broadcast will air live on WMLP AM-1380 and will also be simulcast live on the Web on Bison Vision All-Access (www.BucknellBison.com). Damon's Grill will be providing a selection of appetizers and beverages, all free of charge, and special prizes will be given away.
