  • LEWISBURG, Pa. - "Bison Now!", the tri-annual event celebrating Bison Athletics makes its return Thursday, Nov. 13 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Col. John Kelly Room at the Country Cupboard restaurant in Lewisburg.

Sponsored by Damon's Grill, "Bison Now!" offers fans the chance to meet and mingle with each of Bucknell's winter sports coaches, as well as student-athletes from each team. From 7-8 p.m., "Voice of the Bison" Doug Birdsong will be hosting a one-hour, on-location show, with the Bucknell coaches and student-athletes rotating in as interview guests. The men's and women's basketball teams will be the first guests prior to their departures for their season-opening games at Maryland and George Mason, respectively. Wrestling, swimming & diving and track & field will be among the featured programs at the popular event.

The broadcast will air live on WMLP AM-1380 and live video will also be simulcast on Bison Vision All-Access (www.BucknellBison.com).

Damon's Grill will be providing a selection of appetizers and beverages, all free of charge, and special prizes will be given away to those who sign in upon arrival.

"Bison Now!" debuted in September and was an immediate hit with Bison fans and supporters. More than 250 people jammed into the Col. John Kelly Room. The final "Bison Now!" of the 2008-09 academic year is slated for Thursday, Feb. 26, and will feature Bucknell spring sports.

In addition to the regular "Bison Now!" program, WQKX 94.1 FM will have a live remote broadcast from the event from 6-7:30 p.m.
